Now is the time to join the Research Australia Alliance
Research Australia is working actively to drive new investment from government, philanthropy and the private sector. In the wake of the economic crisis, and the prospect of dwindling levels of funding for the National Health and Medical Research Council, now is the time to action your commitment to building Australian health research.
Along with our 170 member and supporter organisations, Research Australia conducts Australia’s leading “whole of community” program to raise the profile of research. We provide and the need to continue to invest in building knowledge, expertise and the evidence base to underpin real improvements in health, both nationally and globally.
In the current policy intense environment, Research Australia is working with the university, institute, industry and services sector to highlight the importance of research in generating solutions to health care and systems. Increasingly we are focused on Australia in the nationally competitive research environment. Our challenge is to secure a continued commitment to research to contribute to improvements in both national and global health, and to meet the challenges of the globalised, competitive research and innovation environment.
Membership of Research Australia provides an opportunity to support the alliance in the development of policy, advocacy to promote supportive community attitudes, and to extend your networks across the diversity of our membership base.
With the economic crisis adversely impacting on the capacity of the not-for-profit sector, we need your support now more than ever.
We have a range of membership options available, and would be happy to discuss your membership level with you.
